MTTI has a very active guidance and counseling department whose objective is to assist students and the entire MTTI community in developing self knowledge, emotional acceptance and growth in all aspects of human development. The department seeks to address and resolve student's issues as well as assisting them cope in times of crisis so that they can remain focused on their academic pursuits. The counseling department is responsible for developing and overseeing MTTI counseling services, implementing peer counseling programme, guiding and counseling students on the following:

~Personal Issues

~Developmental issues

~Interpersonal issues

~Identify issues

~Spiritual issues

To ensure holistic growth, G&C department organizes personal development forums where individuals get a chance of growing emotionally, socially and morally.

The department is manned by a team of eight members of staff who form the guidance and counseling committee. The department also works closely with a team of peer counselors who are recruited and trained to serve their fellow students.
